Issue 01 2021

February 2021

Although many of us are unable to physically be together, we find comfort in music – the memories it evokes and the joy it brings us in the tough times.

Stay connected to our community, with exclusive playlists, interviews and articles always available. Music is a universal language that connects us all - we have 100s of playlists for you to explore.

We will dance again.

In the meantime, be transported around the world as we explore different subcultures in different cities.

Berlin is a unique creative playground, and widely regarded as a mecca for electronic music in all shapes and forms. Rave culture defined Berlin like no other youth culture before it. We explore the scene through the decades to understand why, so long as you’re willing to let go and participate, the scene welcomes new generations to leave its mark on rave’s history.

Our annual new music weekender, All Our Tomorrows was a bit different this time, but the good news is that if you missed it, you can still catch all of the performances and panel talks on our website. Follow this link to be taken straight to the 100 Club stage.

Amy Winehouse fit Fred Perry like rhythm fit the blues. We celebrate ten years of our collaboration with the Amy Winehouse Foundation with an exhibition in our Camden shop in London, and in Shibuya Parco in Tokyo. We pay tribute to what inspired her and what she loved to wear.

To mark the occasion of our new shop and exhibition space in Shanghai, we invited Akin Nakata, Visudy and YEHAIYAHA for an evening of soul and experimental electronica.

Badges are a visual language stating that you belong to a tribe or group. Strongly associated with music and subculture, the real power of a badge has always been identity, and that’s what makes them so collectible. We speak with some avid collectors about their enduring appeal.
