Who would have thought? Damon, Graham and Noel singing "Tender" together, with Paul Weller on drums!
Putting their legendary Britpop rivalry to rest, Oasis and Blur singers Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn performed together on stage at London's Royal Albert Hall in aid of charity Teenage Cancer Trust on Saturday 23rd March 2013. The pair even shared a microphone for a couple of lines in the chorus, with nothing but positivity emanating from an exchange of wide smiles during the song.
Blur guitarist Graham Coxon also joined them on-stage for a version of the song "Tender" from 1999, and, only to add to the wonder of this extraordinary line-up, the modfather himself Paul Weller appeared to play the drums alongside the trio!
Everyone was on their feet when the opening chords of Blur's "Tender" began, and the atmosphere became one which had all those within revelling in the pivotal piece of musical history happening before their eyes.
Artist Pete Mckee was asked by Noel to create the artwork to commemorate this historical gig. More info here.
