William Doyle, aka East India Youth, is a musician who encapsulates the experimental-pop sound of East London.

Combining strikingly original music with euphoric live performances, East India Youth has quickly become recognised as one of the most unique and captivating artists around. He has now unveiled his second album Culture of Youth, which you can stream in full below. Culture of Volume is his first release on the XL Recordings label, and follows on from his critically acclaimed, Mercury Prize nominated, debut album Total Strife Forever.

The first single from Culture of Volume to be unveiled was 'Carousel', a lucious, atmospheric ballad, highlighting Doyle's exceptional vocal abilities.

More recently, Doyle released the more upbeat synthpop tune, 'Turn Away'.

With influences randing from Berlin-era Bowie, Scott Walker, Brian Eno and Kraftwerk, East India Youth is pop at its most intelligent, writing melodies and accompaniments to pop songs as a skilled craft in stark contrast to the mainstream, formulaic commercial pop hits which have graced our radio stations for so long.

Culture of Volume is available to purchase now, here
