Mixing psychedelic with and world music, the songs of French newcomer Moodoïd (aka Pablo Padovani, son of cult jazz player Jean-Marc Padovani and guitarist for Melody's Echo Chamber) evoque Os Mutantes' tropicalism, the dreamy atmospheres of Connan Mockasin and the freedom of 70s French prog rock bands such as Gong. Sung in a French full of poésie, his music is an impressive mélange, at once catchy and summery.

His first single Je suis la montagne(which translates into "I am The Mountain") is out now (check out the brilliantly trippy vid here) and his debut EP mixed by Kevin "Tame Impala" Parker is out in august on Entreprise, the French imprint of Paris-based label Third Side Records that recently brought you La Femme.
