Paramore have shared the Dutch Uncles remix of their single 'Ain't it Fun'. The track (along with the original recording) was originally released on a special 'broken' twelve inch vinyl for Record Store Day.
The unlikely pairing started when Paramore guitarist Taylor York cited Dutch Uncles as an influence on last years eponymous fourth album and in particular on recent single 'Ain't it Fun'. Hayley Williams and company subsequently invited Dutch Uncles to support them on their European tour in June, and the Manchester art-pop group completed the remix upon their return to the UK.
Dutch Uncles - who are currently in the studio recording their follow up to last year's Out Of Touch In The Wild - initially stripped the song back to its funk, soul and gospel roots, before expanding it by adding their own bass, drums and guitars. In the hands of Dutch Uncles, 'Aint It Fun' now boasts a distinctly Nile Rogers-tinged dancefloor groove.
Dutch Uncles are Pete Broadhead (guitar), Andy Proudfoot (drums), Robin Richards (bass guitar), Daniel Spedding (guitar) and Duncan Wallis (lead vocals, piano) and were formed in Marple, near Stockport, in 2008.
