Name, where are you from?
Cameron Tomlinson (Endevour), North London.

Describe your style in three words?
Very Mood Dependent.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Me and a mate went to see Diplo at Lovebox back in 2016 when we were like 13. The gig itself was pretty good but I just remember this one guy hitting my ass with a fly swat and some random lady asking to take a photo with me because I was wearing orange.

If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
Juice WRLD and Travis Scott. Both artists have such insane energy when they perform; the effect that Travis has on his crowd is amazing and Juice WRLD has the best songs to get ‘energetic-but-sad’ to.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
I’ve never really found myself associated with a specific subculture - I think punk’s had a bit of influence in how I dress; I have the whole padlock on a chain and safety pins in my clothes vibe going on sometimes. Rap’s had a pretty big influence too, especially artists like Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert - I’ve always found the way they speak pretty cool to be honest, and their song titles and overall aesthetic are influential too.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Steve Guttenburg. He’s in Cocoon (1985) and I remember thinking he looked so wholesome and innocent. I’ve always wanted to know if he was actually like that back then.

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
I actually did my first gig at the 100 Club for a Fred Perry Subculture event. I loved the energy in the room and it felt like everyone was on the same vibe. The venue felt really authentic and I loved how it wasn’t trying to be too flashy.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Definitely my dad. He’s a musician and he’s always been playing interesting music around the house; anything from Ravi Shankar to Jimi Hendrix. He definitely introduces me to lots of different types of music that I wouldn’t listen to otherwise, which keeps me open-minded and inspired.

Endevour recently released his new track 'Sweet-Tooth', listen to it below.

04Playlist Notes

The first track you played on repeat?
'Baggy Trousers' by Madness.

A song that defines the teenage you?
I’m still going through my teenage years so I’m not sure if I could say, but the song I’d say that defines my earlier years would be 'The Look' by Metronomy.

One record you would keep forever?
'ASTROWORLD' by Travis Scott.

A song lyric that has inspired you?
“Bang bang bang and a chicken wing, b*tch.”

From 'KANGA' by 6ix9ine.

The song that would get you straight on the dance floor?
'Bands' by Comethazine.

A song you wished you had written?
'Japanese Denim' by Daniel Caesar.

Best song to turn up loud?
'You See It?' by Octavian.

A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Why Do Fools Fall In Love' by Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers.

Best song to end an all-nighter on?
'Promise' by Ben Howard.

Any new music you are listening to right now?
'Cardigan' by Don Toliver.
