Name, where are you from?
James Stewart - Brighton East Sussex.

What do you do?
Student / Model. Skating, Fashion, Music.

Describe your style in three words?
Typically, rare, teen.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Eminem at Twickenham. Have been a huge fan for as long as I can remember. Would spend hours in my room rapping along trying to get as fast as him. My 12yr old self was literally shaking with excitement at the gig and his energy did not disappoint.

If you could put any three bands in history on a lineup?
Arctic Monkeys. Easy E. XXXTENTACION.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
I think I'm influenced by so much and pretty contrasting things too. I guess inwardly I’m a bit of a hippy but outwardly I’m probably more influenced by street culture. I love the relaxed vibe of the skate scene.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
The Notorious B.I.G - I'd ask him who really shot him.

Where is your favourite independent venue?
Concorde 2 Brighton. Haven’t been to lots of smaller venues in my life yet but the Akala gig I went to here was amazing. It's so small and intimate. Also by day it's a cool place to skate.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Probably Drex Carter. Awesome meaningful lyrics, such a smooth voice and nice beats. Definitely deserves more recognition.

04Playlist Notes

The first track you played on repeat?
'Gold Dust' by DJ Fresh.

A song that defines the teenage you?
'Always Do' by The Kid LAROI.

One record you would keep forever?
'Naive' by The Kooks.

A song lyric that has inspired you?
“But would you rather be the person talking or the person doing all the things People talk about”

From 'Hangman' by Dave.

A song you wished you had written?
'That's Life' by Frank Sinatra.

Best song to turn up loud?
'She Bangs The Drums' by The Stone Roses.

A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Greek Tragedy' by The Wombats.

A song to get you straight on the dance floor?
'P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)' by Michael Jackson.

Best song to end an all-nighter?
'Use Somebody' by Kings of Leon.

Any new bands you’re into at the moment?
Moses Boyd.
