03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Eclectic, casual, changing.

The first track you played on repeat?

McFly - Surfer Babe

It was 2007 and probably the worst song on the album but I’d just got my first iPod and I loved it.

A song from your favorite album?

The Beatles - Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da - Remastered 2009

Me and my brother used to dance in my Nan’s living room to her Beatles records, we were mesmerised by how big the records were and this song felt fun and silly as kids.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Madness - It Must Be Love

My mum and dad took me to Madstock in 2009 which was my first ever gig and we’ve seen them loads since. They finished with this tune and the whole place was just erupt. The chorus was even my first tattoo!

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Queen - Killer Queen - 2011 Mix

When I first heard this I learnt every lyric and made a routine so whenever I hear it I’ve just got to get up and groove.

A new song you're listening to?

Joji - Run

The most recent single from Joji, I love his voice and lyrics and his alter ego Pink Guy...

Best song to turn up loud?

Modjo - Lady (Hear Me Tonight)

My mates will always blast this full volume in our house, it translates as we’re ready to go out.

A song that defines the teenage you?

Lily Allen - Not Fair

I loved Lily as an angsty teen, her lyrics and sound felt like someone got it. When I finally got the meaning to this song I felt proper cool.

An anthemic song?

The Stone Roses - I Am the Resurrection - Remastered

More credit to my mum and dad, this always reminds me of belting out old classics after a BBQ in summertime or at family parties.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Oasis - Married With Children - Remastered

“Goodbye I’m going home” x
