The Windmill in Brixton played host to future talent at their annual Super 8 two-dayer.

The Windmill in Brixton has become one of the UK’s most important hubs for new music over the past two decades, transforming a once struggling pub into one of the capital’s most exciting venues for new music.

The venue has hosted early sets from the likes of Bloc Party, Sorry, Fontaines D.C and Black Midi over the years and when the venue’s future looked in doubt last year, acts including Sleaford Mods, Fat White Family and Squid stepped in with donations for an auction to help raise funds.

Thankfully, the venue’s back on its feet and we headed down to its Super 8 Festival. Taking place across two days, Saturday was headlined by frantic London trio Paddywak (who also recently played All Our Tomorrows event at the 100 Club) plus the day saw sets from rising talent FatDog, Robbie & Mona, Headboy, Piglet and Anorak Patch.

Then on Sunday it was the turn of post-punk London trio Pozi to top the bill, with support from The Umlauts, Sam Akpro, Aziya, Podge and Aga Ujma.
