Name, where are you from?
Pardans, Copenhagen.

Describe your style in three words?
Casual, quirky, cocky.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Paul McCartney in Copenhagen 2003. Big arena show, he performed all the best songs in the world.

If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
Isaac Hayes and Culture CT, our homies from Cambridge. Because we like us sum slow jams.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Body-building, anime, fishing.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Jeanne d'Arc. (Joan of Arc).

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
Trône in Brussels, we played in an old ballroom, its a big house in the middle of the city, where all these young Belgians are living together.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Laura Nyro did some great albums in the late ’60s and she wrote a lot of hits for other artists, but she never really broke through as a solo artist, which is a shame because her music really pushed the boundaries when it comes to song structure and her music is very intense, while always retaining a strong foundation in brill building soul-pop.

Pardans will appear at Fred Perry Subculture - All Our Tomorrows festival 2019
Saturday 14th September at The 100 Club.
Line up - Black Country, New Road / Pardans / Jerskin Fendrix / Great Dad / Platonica Erotica / Osquello / Taylor Skye / Lealani / Brother May.
