Describe your band style in three words?
Hell on earth.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Blur in 2013.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Blondie and The Clash. 

Which subcultures have influenced you?
New York Punk Scene in the 1970s. It's dirty, ugly, raw, real and beautiful.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Iggy Pop. To hear how deep his voice is in person, but also for the stories and to see how far his skin can stretch.

Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Tom Thumb Theatre, Margate. Small and special.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Arthur Russell for his eclectic output.


Whenyoung are Aoife Power (Vocals/ Bass), Niall Burns (Guitar), Andrew Flood (Drums). Forming as teenagers in Limerick, they moved to Dublin developing their sound, and DIY approach before relocating again to London in 2017. In 2018 Whenyoung performed in Dublin as part of Shane Mcgowan's 60th birthday celebration alongside the likes of Nick Cave and Sinead O'Connor and played support slots with the like of Dream Wife and Declan McKenna.
