We delved into the archives for this one, referencing an original 1970s jumper that was immortalised by the “Spanish Enigma” - Olympic skier Francisco Fernandez Ochoa.
Ochoa was an early sponsor of Fred, wearing the label as he trained up and down the slopes, and going on to achieve sporting greatness by winning Gold in the down-hill slalom at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Japan. His technical form of skiing which included athletic twisting and turning resulted in him being known as the ‘matador on skis’.
