What are your names?
R - Raquel.
B - Bella.
A - Alice.
Where are you from?
B - I am from Iceland but the band is London-based, and they are all from England.
Describe your style in 3 words:
A - Wild.
R - Rockin’.
B - Radical.
What is the best gig you’ve ever been to?
A - We put on a show at Moth Club in London last Halloween that was really special. We played with some friends like Nova Twins, Garden Centre and Emily Franklin.
R - Right now, we just played a show with a band called Her’s from Liverpool and they’re great.
B - Oh, but you know what we should go to this year, which I went to last year, which was just incredible? First Timers at DIY Space. It’s like they’re all new bands, and you have to fill three criteria: someone that’s never been in a band before, someone that’s either female or a person of colour, or playing an instrument you’ve never played before.
What was the last album you bought?
A - I bought Sleigh Bells’ album on tape when we played with them recently in Manchester.
Bella: Joey Floorr’s ‘To The Floorr’ was the last one I bought. Very good.
Raquel: I bought Solange on iTunes because I was repeatedly listening to the album.
A British music icon that has inspired you?
B - X-Ray Spex.
What music did you listen to growing up?
A - Stuff from the ’70s, I think, for all of us.
R - And the ’80s too. The Smiths, Talking Heads…
A - Stuff our dads listened to!
B - Our dads influenced all of us!
