From Portland Oregon, Fake Drugs' origin can be traced back to when frontman Keil Corcoran began experimenting with now Liars member Jesse Jackson in 2008. Releasing a stream of 4-track demos and playing house shows in dank Portland basements, Fake Drugs built notoriety on frenetic live shows and catchy damaged pop. The bands' line up has changed since it's inception with the addition of Shawn Glassford from Starfucker and Jacob Portrait from UMO taking over drum and guitar duties respectively. Fake Drugs eponymous debut "Drake Fugs" was independently released by Portland label Old Wave in late 2010. Following a European tour with the Dandy Warhols, Fake Drugs are showing no signs of slowing down with the forthcoming release of their yet-to-be-named second album in late 2011.
