The Talks, a four piece reggae-ska band from Hull, UK, have built a strong live reputation supporting the likes of Madness, The Specials and Rancid.
2013 saw the band release their eagerly anticipated Westsinister EP along with singles ‘Can Stand The Rain’, featuring the legendary Neville Staple from The Specials, and YouTube smash ‘Friday Night’. With main stage performances at globally renowned festivals such as This Is Ska (DE), Mighty Sounds (CZ) and Rebellion, tweets of appraisal and support from new wave big hitters Less Than Jake, glowing reviews and cover features the bands reputation has surged from strength to strength.
In April 2014, the band released ‘Don’t Look Behind You’, their first single from their album Commoners, Peers, Drunks and Thieves, which was supported by a mega 40 gigs tour across Europe, spanning two months across 9 different countries and about 10,000 miles of tarmac. The band were able to explore many new, wide reaching territories and deliver their own brand of punk-tinged reggae-ska-mayhem to brand new audiences in places such as Italy, Austria, Poland and Croatia.
This year, The Talks band have unveiled their stellar live album Live at Kendal Calling as a free download, and now Fred Perry Subculture are pleased to premiere their new 'In Session' videos, made during a break on their hectic European touring schedule videos. Enjoy!
