Describe your style in three words?

Inspired by friends

The first track you played on repeat?

The Strokes - Reptilia

Reptilia by the Strokes. I remember being about 12 years old and falling in love with this song through a Youtube video, very gen z of me. I immediately bought it on iTunes and proceeded to listen to it for days. Now I can't stand the song I'd much rather listen to Someday.

A song from your favorite album?

Sunflower Bean - Human Ceremony

Human ceremony is the title track and the introduction to Sunflower Bean's debut album. It will always be near and dear to my heart, as it showed me how great small artists are and how thrilling it is to be involved in the music community.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Sunflower Bean - The Stalker

Sunflower bean at Lollapalooza 2016. My friends and I were moshing, then a security guard grabbed my neck yelled at me to stop or she'd cut off my wristband. So I stopped.... until Bean encored with The Stalker. I smashed my head on the barricade, blood was EVERYWHERE.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

MGMT - Me and Michael

Me and Michael by MGMT definitely! The song is about friendship, the lyrics are light and sweet. Whenever I'm out with my friends we always request this song, those fucking synths are out of this world!

A new song you're listening to?

Gnarcissists - Models

Gnarcissists are a fairly new band from New York City. They put out their EP in October and every song on it is great. Models is just that fucking song, the beginning is so fun and their commentary about New York is dead-on!

Best song to turn up loud?

The Chats - Smoko

Smoko by The Chats. Last year at SXSW we were blasting it in our hotel room and got a couple of noise complaints, security threatened to call the cops. Texas does not mess around.

A song that defines the teenage you?

DIIV - Sometime

I'd probably have to say Sometime by Diiv. When I was 14 I'd always have Oshin on repeat and I always felt really connected to Sometime. It made me feel like I wasn't broken for feeling sad all the time. I especially loved the lyrics "Your birth is just a part of your death".

An anthemic song?

The Nude Party - Chevrolet Van

Chevrolet Van by The Nude Party. The chorus definitely hits home for my friends and I. We can't help but scream every word when It comes on.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Thee Oh Sees - Gelatinous Cube

Gelatinous Cube by Thee Oh Sees. Gotta end it with a bang right?
