Pleats were always a sensible fashion staple, sewn into gowns, school skirts, and kilts for shape and movement – until punk came along and subverted it all. By the ‘70s, the blades of fabric were broad and thick – far from the pin pleats of the ‘50s – and adorned with safety pins and iron-on badges. In soft Silky Peach, our pleated tennis skirt comes full-circle back to the nostalgic off-whites of mid-century sport. Finished with belt loops, pockets, and our embroidered Laurel Wreath in pride of place.
