Name, where are you from?
Cosmic Strip. London.

Describe your style in three words?
French. Goth. Punk.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
I went to see Lana Del Rey play in London last year, I hadn’t seen her perform since the ‘Video Games’ days and I felt like so much had happened since then. I was full of tears throughout the whole show.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Well, first of all, it would have to be David Bowie – he’s my ultimate idol and his stage design and performance would be out of this world. Next would be Elliott Smith because I wouldn’t know how to write music if it wasn’t for him.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
I’m a weird blend of vintage 60s and 70s punk and psychedelia mixed with 90s alternative and grunge.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
John Lennon and we would lay down a track together in the studio in an hour.

Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
We headlined Moth Club a few years ago and it looked like one of my cosmic dreams.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Elizabeth Fraser from Cocteau Twins – their music was so forward thinking at the time and her vocal capabilities are fascinating.

04Playlist Notes

The first track you played on repeat?
I remember first getting MTV on my TV in France and I used to sit there and watch ‘Wonderwall’ by Oasis on repeat – it completely changed me.

A song that defines the teenage you?
I used to feel bored growing up in Paris and was fascinated with the UK music scene and also drinking way too much wine so it would have to be 'Up The Bracket' by The Libertines.

One record you would keep forever?
'Bande à Apart' by Nouvelle Vague. Those first few notes at the start of the album still give me goosebumps.

A song lyric that has inspired you?
“Is there anybody going to listen to my story,
All about the girl who came to stay?
She's the kind of girl,
You want so much it makes you sorry,
Still, you don't regret a single day,
Ah, girl, girl, girl”

You can feel the heartbreak in the lyrics which makes the song so beautiful. 'Girl' by The Beatles.

The song that would get you straight on the dance floor?
'Deceptacon' by Le Tigre. How can you not?

A song you wished you had written?
'Anemone' by The Brian Jonestown Massacre. It’s so simple but the composition is so beautiful.

Best song to turn up loud?
'Hail Bop' by Django Django. Something happens when that song is played, I lose my mind. Turn it up and listen to the layers.

A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'L$D' by A$AP Rocky. Outside of the band I also work for Lovebox so obviously am a big fan of Hip-Hop in all its forms.

Best song to end an all-nighter on?
'Playground Love' by Air. When it’s too late to sleep but too early to be up.

Any new bands you are listening to right now?
'Tastes Like Money' by Swimming Girls.
'Psychic Data' by TVAM.
'Temptation' by Lusts.
'Pretty Face' by Yassassin.
'Sophomore' by Honey Lung.
'Summertime' by Lucia.
