03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Oldschool, open-minded, delicate.

The first track you played on repeat?

International Pony - Hangin' Around '03

I listen to that song mostly in the car, as loud as possible. My best friend Josef showed it to me years ago and it opened a world to me.

A song from your favorite album?

Isolée - Enrico

"We are Monster" by Isolee pretty much brings everything together that I love. Cold electronic parts combined with melancholy and weirdness. I feel that the song "Enrico" captures it all in a very broken and also weird way. I love to hear it in a club on a good system.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Bobby Caldwell - Open Your Eyes

Whenever I play that song on a party, it opens up the hearts of the crowd. I mostly use to put it right in the middle of a night, it creates a very special moment. Even if the song is slow and cheesy, it has a massive drop and people are freaking out.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Kenix - There's Never Been (No One Like You) [feat. Bobby Youngblood] - MAW Remix; 2016 - Remaster

I love to listen to that song on a garden-party or any other lovely open-air party. It has that bumpy and rough rhythm and the warmest chords I know. I also find something magic in the voices even if the lyrics are pretty simple.

A new song you're listening to?

Shari Vari - Not a Perfect Day

This song is perfect for a little daydream in the park. I'm a huge fan of Sophia Kennedy's voice and Pose Dia's Beats, together they have a band called "Shari Vari". I would call it haunted Pop-Music!

Best song to turn up loud?

Ludwig A.F. - Blissful Lie

"Blissful Lie" by my friend Ludwig A.F. is a pure banger, which you should listen to on a loud and good sound system in a club. It's a clever but still poppy rave-track which reminds me of a classic but also has a very fresh-thinking twist in it.

A song that defines the teenage you?

Samy Deluxe - Einfach ich

Samy Deluxe is a german rapper, a hero of my childhood.

An anthemic song?

Ennio Morricone - La Moda

This song is pure euphoria, perfect to start a roadtrip from Hamburg to Marseille.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Rocko Schamoni - Ich und mein Pudel - Speckman Remix

This remix of mine works for me as an anthem and praising to the "Golden Pudel Club" where I've done regular nights for almost 7 years. It somehow feels very ideal to end up a night there, let the people go with a warm feeling.
