03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Suave, bold, classic.

The first track you played on repeat?

Gang Of Four - Damaged Goods

Introduced to this song by a gothic/punk girl in Preston who had it on vinyl and the mixture of guitar riffs and crackling vinyl was awesome.

A song from your favorite album?

New Model Army - Green and Grey

An amazing band and a very atmospheric song.

A song from your most memorable gig?

The Wonder Stuff - A Wish Away

Preston Guildhall, the late '80s supported by Ned's Atomic Dustbin... very sweaty and amazing night.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Melba Moore - The Magic Touch

Not a favourite amongst the northern soul scene but still a great song to dance to.

A new song you're listening to?

The Bar Stool Preachers - One Fool Down

First heard this live at Redrum (Stafford) such a great song with great lyrics and words to live by.

Best song to turn up loud?

The Bar Stool Preachers - One Fool Down

A great song to turn up loud and song lyrics out loud "Never look down on anyone, unless you're giving them a hand up, cause it can happen to anyone of us, cause we live in a house of love".

A song that defines the teenage you?

The Gents - The Faker

When I was a Mod in the early '80s I listen to a lot of mod revival and The Gents were one of the best.

An anthemic song?

Queen - We Will Rock You - Remastered 2011

One of the greatest live performances ever at Live Aid, a great moment in rock music.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Tobi Legend - Time Will Pass You By

Great song to end the night but also a sad song knowing that your night with friends and family is coming to an end.
