Describe your style in three words?
Classic, evolving, sans-hype.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
I saw James Blake in Houston (I think) back in 2016. It was an incredible show at a really pivotal time in my life. I had a day off while on my second ever tour and got to see the show. It was really eye-opening to see the level of performance, production, and immersion that they managed to achieve. A beautiful and moving show.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Not that it would make any musical sense but if it was me then Ben Howard and then I ended the night in a moshpit for Yung Lean that would be pretty stellar.

Which Subcultures have influenced you?
While the only subculture I ever fully dived into was emo back in the day, I feel most influenced by internet culture. as someone who grew up spending so much of my time online, I think some of my best work, friends, ideas have actually drawn from it. As culture has moved and been digitised I see myself in everything from skate culture, to car culture, to fashion, design and art.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
I used to wish that I could meet people like Bowie or Frank Ocean and just ask questions like 'how did you manage this?' or 'how did you keep your creativity up when your life was changing?', but the more I've grown up the more I feel like no one can really tell you how it's done. Your situation is unique to you and you just gotta roll with it.

Of all the venues you’ve been to, which is your favourite?
The first time I toured Brussels I played in a venue that was in a botanical gardens. The room was like a big cylinder and really intimate. the walls on the stage side of the room were just covered in hundreds of lights. The crowd was really amazing and I can still remember coming off stage and being blown away by it all.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
I think it has to be Yung Lean. from being one of the instigators of the cloud rap movement before it even knew what it was, to his creative evolution throughout the rest of the decade I think he has to be the most underrated musical influence of mine.

Having amassed a huge online following with his DIY ethos, electronic musician and producer EDEN will release his new album 'no future' in February 2020. The LP is preceded by three tracks, 'projector', 'love, death, distraction' and 'isohel', all accompanied by visuals by regular collaborator Zhang + Knight.
