Describe your style in three words?
The Doors reject.
The first track you played on repeat?
The Cure - Friday I'm In Love
This is the first song I ever remember being obsessed with after nine year old me fell in love with Robert Smith whilst playing '80s SingStar. If this song doesn't make you want to get up and dance then I don't want to be your friend.
A song from your favorite album?
The Strokes - Take It Or Leave It
Viva La The Strokes.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Arctic Monkeys - Fake Tales Of San Francisco
This was a tough one, but there's nothing like an Arctic Monkeys gig in Sheffield.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
INXS - Elegantly Wasted
INXS are one of those bands that never really released a bad song, in my opinion. This is a proper boogie around your room in your pants kinda song and I love it.
A new song you're listening to?
Declan McKenna - Daniel, You're Still a Child
Declan McKenna is doing absolute bits at the minute, he's one of the most poetic lyricists to come out of the scene in a while and he's mastered The Smiths-esque juxtapose of dance along pop with deeper messages. 'Key to Life on Earth' and 'Why Do You Feel So Down' are up there.
Best song to turn up loud?
The Libertines - Don't Look Back Into The Sun
No one does summer anthems like The Libertines. They're definitely best listened to with all the windows down, in a car full of your mates, driving to the seaside.
A song that defines the teenage you?
Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Want to Have Fun
My college attendance record and the bags I've never managed to shift from under my eyes says it all. I love any song that sounds like it belongs on a Hughes or Schumacher soundtrack.
An anthemic song?
Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town
This song always makes me want to get everyone I've ever met together in the local and come back home 3 days later.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Alexandra Savior - The Archer
Usually, Savior, Bowie, The Waterboys or Tears for Fears end my all-nighters. My go-to 'closing song' used to be 'Cosmic Dancer' by T. Rex but now every time I hear that song I get hungover by association so it's retired so that I don't get PTSD every time it comes on in the shops.
