Describe your style in three words?
Anything animal print.
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
The Strokes - Someday
Realistically, the first song I played on repeat was probably something like the Spice Girls or Britney, but as a teenager this was on repeat constantly. To me, The Strokes can do no wrong.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Fleetwood Mac - Dreams - 2004 Remaster
Rumours is one of my favourite albums of all time. My mum is a big Stevie Nicks fan so I grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac, which isn't something to complain about really.
A song from your most memorable gig?
The Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want
The Rolling Stones were up there with one of the bands I'd always wanted to see live. I went with my mum in 2018 and it was everything I hoped it would be. They're consistently cool and I love them.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Earth, Wind & Fire - September
September, Earth Wind & Fire is my go-to karaoke song always. That and anything by ABBA too.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Maggie Rogers - Alaska
It's not a really recent song, but I love Alaska by Maggie Rogers. I think she's such a talented artist - her album, 'Heard It In A Past Life' is so lovely. I really like 'Your Light' by Big Moon, 'Do Right' by Cassia and The Strokes new single, 'Bad Decisions' too.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
Peter Bjorn and John - Young Folks
I probably listen to Young Folks everyday because it's on my morning playlist. It's just an upbeat song to turn up loud, especially in a car. Bees/Caribou, Electric Feel/MGMT, Evil /Interpol, Disco Yes/Tom Misch and Space Song/Beach House are also good songs to turn up loud.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
LCD Soundsystem - All My Friends
All My Friends reminds me of the summer I turned 18, I love everything about it. Nirvana, Smells Like Teen Spirit, The National, Bloodbuzz Ohio and The Drums, Days also make me feel really nostalgic.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
New Radicals - You Get What You Give
I don't know why I love this song so much, but I do. I think what makes it special is that they only ever made one album. 'Heroes' by David Bowie is also an unparalleled anthem.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Oasis - Live Forever
Very cliche choice but it would have to be Oasis wouldn't it? Especially in Manchester, it's almost impossible to go on a night out without hearing at least one Oasis song.
