Name, where are you from?
Sans Soucis - Italy (via Calabria and Katanga).

Describe your style in three words?
I wish I knew aha I dress according to my mood. I keep it fluid and just wear what makes me feel good and confident. My first favourite things are shirts and my second is naked shoulders.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Rosalia at Somerset House. My friends had an extra ticket and I happened to be free. First time I saw Rosalia live, I instantly fell in love. I remember going back home that night thinking “I wanna up my singing game and change the world” lol.

If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
James Blake and Beyoncé. I love them both. They’re some of my biggest inspirations. Their work, versatility, longevity, reverence to their influences and ability to connect with people through their music is something that has always moved me and excited me. In terms of moods, they’re almost the polar opposite and I feel like I have a bit of both worlds. I’m constantly trying to find the right balance. It’s also so inspiring to see that two of my favourite artists worked together and maybe one day I’ll work with them too. For now though, I've done a cover of 'Foot Forward' so go check that out on streaming platforms!

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Queer culture has changed my life. For a long time, I felt like a ghost filled with notions about myself I didn’t actually believe in. Moving to London and finding my community of people made me realise I actually existed. It helped me legitimise how I feel inside, which was something I’d actively suppressed over time.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Van Gogh. I would have loved to pick his brain even for an afternoon, on a sunny day in the South of France. Somehow, I always felt I belonged there. Or Frida Kahlo. She changed the way I see the world and the way I see myself. A queer icon and an incredibly sensible artist. Both of their art is so spiritual and emotional, that I wish I could just hang out with them and talk about life for hours.

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
St Pancras Old Church. I was overwhelmed with the amount of love I witnessed that night. I hadn’t played a show in two years, so I wasn’t fully prepared for that, but it was definitely one of the best nights of my life.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
My sister, who is one of the few people I trust when it comes to giving feedback on my new songs. We started doing music together and I feel like she’s one of those people that has a really great musical ear and excellent taste for production.

“If I told you that a flower bloom in a dark room would you trust this”

'Little Green' by Joni Mitchel.

'Get Right' by Jennifer Lopez.

A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Believe' by Cher.

Best song to end an all-nighter on?
It really depends on the kind of night really… could either be 'So Gone' by Monica or 'Reckoner' by Radiohead.

Any new music you are listening to right now?
I love Man I Trust’s last album. It’s something I can listen to at any time of the day, it puts me on a peaceful but melancholic cloud, one of my favourite moods. Not exactly a new band but a relatively recent discovery for me. I’ve been quite obsessed with The Sweet Enoughs lately. Yannis Dreamlake, who I’m pretty sure produced the whole of 'Marshmallow' must have been in such a good headspace while making the album. On the cover, they wrote “mood music for listening and relaxation”. I love that! Precisely what it is. I think I could never get tired of their music, it’s addictive.
