Describe your style in three words?
Sharp, Suede and Saucy.
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
The White Stripes - Blue Orchid
I heard it on MTV back when people listened to music on the telly. That thunderous riff caught my attention and I had to hear it again.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Echo & the Bunnymen - Ocean Rain
The penultimate self-titled track to arguably one of the greatest albums of all time. It’s a slower song but the operatics are spine shivering.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Arctic Monkeys - Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair
This was my first ever gig with my mates. From what I can remember there was a black curtain covering the stage with the opening riff played behind it. The curtain drops when the song kicks in and it was magical.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Luther Vandross - Never Too Much
Unbelievable tune. Always on at weddings and parties. Everyone always gets up when this kicks in.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
The Killers - Caution
I’ve loved and listened to The Killers for as long as I can remember, with this being their new single off a highly anticipated album I’ve waited a few years for. Proper Springsteen vibes.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
Foals - What Went Down
This song should only be played loud.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
The Beatles - Nowhere Man - Remastered 2009
It would be an injustice to be a scouser and not pick a Beatles song to define teenage years.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony
If I could watch any song live it would be this.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Oasis - Champagne Supernova
This always crops up at the end of a night out in town. It’s a tune everyone can belt out, especially if you’re all together.
