The first track you played on repeat?

Oasis - D'You Know What I Mean?

'Be Here Now' was the 1st record that I owned. I still remember my mother buying a copy for my brother and I to share from Tesco the week it was released. It holds a special place in my heart.

A song from your favorite album?

The La's - Looking Glass

I don't think that I have one favourite album but I love this record. Infamously hated by Lee Mavers himself but I'm still as obsessed with it as I was 10 years ago. 'Looking Glass' is an example of the power of Mavers songwriting. Almost awe inspiring.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Sleaford Mods - Fizzy

Sleaford Mods, The Moon Club, 7th September 2014. This show changed the course of my life. No exaggeration. 2 guys in their 40's got on the small stage and produced one of the most real experiences of my life.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Ty Segall - Every 1's a Winner

I'm not much of a dancer unless alcohol is involved in which case I delude myself into thinking my moves are smoother than Basquiat in Downtown 81. This number always brings memories of dancing the night away with my mates in Boy Azooga.

A new song you're listening to?

Jessica Pratt - This Time Around

Not exactly a new song but definitely a strong contender for album of the year. The word talented gets thrown around too much to undeserving souls but Jessica is above that. A truly beautiful artist.

Best song to turn up loud?

The Notorious B.I.G. - Gimme The Loot

There was a period about 8 years ago where some mates and I would play this song every time we met up for drinks. As soon as I hear that rhythm I'm in the zone. It should be on every party playlist.

A song that defines the teenage you?

The Jam - To Be Someone (Didn't We Have A Nice Time)

At 14 I remember seeing a photograph of a young Paul Weller. He was wearing a slim black suit, two tone shoes, Rickenbacker guitar and a great haircut. Soon after I bought a suit and embraced all things Mod.

An anthemic song?

Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues

In my world I can imagine a football crowd singing this. Robin Pecknold is a modern genius and this is one of his finest moments. I finally got the chance to see Fleet Foxes at Greenman last year and I got quite emotional.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Jackson Browne - Late for the Sky

Because its the greatest song ever written so don't try topping it, just turn the record player off and go to bed.
