What was the first song you played on repeat?
Jack - Mine was 'Nowhere Man' by the Beatles, I first heard it watching the Yellow Submarine movie when I was about six. I didn't get any of the druggy references of course, weird how a druggy movie can be perfect for kids.
Miguel - I think mine was probably 'Call Me On Your Way Back Home' by Ryan Adams.
Callum - 'Year 3000' by Busted....don't judge me.
A song from your favourite album?
David Bowie 'Lady Stardust'
Jack - This song has always been incredible important to me as it's a song about someone who seems a freak and isolated from everyone else, but embraces it and makes it great. And I could totally relate to that listening to it in my later school years.
The Beatles 'Think For Yourself'
Callum - I know it's The Beatles again, but they're such an important musical reference point and I particularly like this one because of the story it tells with absolutely bang on harmonies.
Foo Fighters 'Rope'
Miguel - I've always been a fan of the Foo Fighters and I think that this song was really the pinnacle of their career. I love how the verses sound like they almost belong to a different song.
Song you wished you written?
The La's 'There She Goes'
Jack - It's the ultimate guitar pop song really, the beautiful simplicity with a heart melting guitar hook combine to create such a wonderfully melancholy feel that you so often encounter at poignant moments in life.
Chic 'Le Freak'
Callum - The musicianship on this track is impeccable, yet simple which is the basis for all great songs I think. With it's catchy melody and awesome guitar hook there's no way you can listen to this song and not get on down.
Neil Young 'Old Man'
Miguel - This song has so much space in it's production and it's used really well. Combined with honest lyrics that can relate to anybody, anytime.
