Independent Venue Week is back for its fourth year, celebrating live music around the UK between Monday 23 - Sunday 29 January, 2017.

Independent Venue Week is a nationwide seven-day series of events, recognising and supporting small music venues across the UK, as well as the people that own them, manage them and work in them. The venues play a vital role in giving artists early live experiences and the opportunity to hone their act, providing a habitat for emerging music, and a vibrant landscape for music lovers to explore.

IVW17 sees Tim Burgess take on the role of ambassador, previously occupied by Colin Greenwood (Radiohead), Frank Turner and Wolf Alice. Events will include a special show from The Wytches who will play a hometown gig at Brighton's Hope And Ruin on Sunday, 29 January (2017).

The Wytches filmed at SubcultureLive in London, November 2015.

Other artists playing special gigs as part of IVW17 include Richard Hawley, HECK, Beans On Toast, The Moonlandingz, The Carnabys, Skinny Girl Diet, Shame, Dream Wife, Goat Girl, Crosa Rosa and Estrons.

Estrons filmed at Dot to Dot Festival 2016

Crosa Rosa filmed at Dot to Dot Festival 2016

The Charlatans filmed at SubcultureLive in London, September 2012.
