With influences including Curtis Mayfield, Bobby Womack, Smokey Robinson in the indie rock era, London-based band New Street Adventure are a solid signing to the legendary Acid Jazz Records. With their unique blend of groove-laden indie-soul, and distrinctive vocal stylings.
New Street Adventure consist of Nick Corbin (vocals and guitar), Ashley Hayden (bass), Billy Farr (lead guitar), Charlie Myers (keys) and Jeremy Paul (drums). They deliver social commentary nous, anthemic swell and an underdog grit to deliver their new wave soul sound.
Produced by Mitch Ayling of The Milk, their album No Hard Feelings is out October 20th this year, to be shortly preceded by a double A-Sided digital single.
In July they digitally released their new single 'On Our Front Door Step' giving listeners a preview of the NSA sound, which has already gained a strong response among UK radio - most recently BBC6 Musics' “Funk & Soul Show” with Craig Charles, a live session on The Robert Elms' show (BBC London), and finally with Amazing Radio's Gary Crowley, who first hosted the band in 2012.
