Planas’ eagerly awaited debut album "The Long Game" was released on 03 December. With a high-end list of production, writing and remix credits, it’s little surprise that "The Long Game" is superior musically, in its broad sonic palate, spacious mix and proper low-end weight.

Winning DJ support from an impressive list including DJ Q, Martyn, Appleblim, Pearson Sound, Alix Perez, the Brookes Brothers, Shogun Audio, Huxley, Mary Anne Hobbs, Gilles Peterson, Don Letts, Ronnie Herel, Mr Scruff, DJ Nonames (Foreign Beggars), Tayo, Ross Allen and True Tiger.

We're lucky enough to have three tracks from "The Long Game" for your listening pleasure. "Wasabi Thunder" melds sparking cosmic funk to dubstep. "2 little 2 late" channels the spirit of classic MJ Cole and brings it up to date, whilst the Moodyman-esque spaceage thump of "Petroleum" slows the tempo, but loses no impact.

Toby Davies AKA Planas has built his credentials over the last few years, with rated releases on Ranking (which he co-owns), Mau5trap, Immerse records, and Exceptional Blue, plus remixes for the likes of Foreign Beggars, Submotion Orchestra, Black Diamond Bay and Screaming Soul.

Toby is currently writing, producing and playing bass with Gentleman’s Dub Club. He founded the renowned club night Vagabondz, which is now part of the Outlook Festival in Croatia. He also writes hip hop as Tarqwin Smythe with Ed Thomas of Gentleman's Dub Club, and in 2009 formed producer duo Seemore Productions.

Planas live is the four-piece band incarnation of Planas. They are Toby, plus Ed Thomas (synths/vocals) who also featured on the Author album (Tectonic), Claudia Georgette (vocals/percussion) and Niall Lavelle (drums/percussion) who also plays percussion/synths for Gentleman's Dub Club.

Planas Live rocked the main stage at Outlook in Croatia this year, plus his promo mix for the festival gained over 6,000 plays and is the most popular Outlook mix this year.
