Electronic-indie band The xx have released a new video for melancholic 'Fiction' out on 15th July on Young Turks. Singer Oliver walks contemplatively around a stately villa, then into a tropic landscape with rolling hills. The entire video is in black and white, adding to the sombre, stark feeling of the song.  Directed by Young Replicant who was also responsible for The xx’s ‘Chained’ video, it was shot in Palm Springs while the band were on tour in the US.

‘Fiction’ is from The xx’s acclaimed second album 'Coexist', and will be available on 7” vinyl and download and will also include B-side ‘Together’, which features as the end-credits track in The Great Gatsby film. It leads into a busy summer for the trio who this year launched Night + Day, a series of global live events curated by the band themselves. Following sold out Night + Day events in Lisbon and Berlin, the London leg of Night + Day will take place at Hatfield House on 22nd June, featuring the likes of Solange, Mount Kimbie, Polica and more.

The xx are also set to headline the Other Stage at the Glastonbury Festival and will perform an 18-date residency at the Manchester International in July before rounding off 2013's live schedule with a headline show at the legendary Hollywood Bowl.
