Head Chef — United Kingdom
A Chris Photo
Describe your style in three words?
Mod dad chef.
The first track you played on repeat?
The Beatles - Help! - Remastered 2009
My dad introduced me to the film when I was young and fell in love with it and this song.
A song from your favorite album?
Paul Simon - You Can Call Me Al
We absolutely loved National Lampoons and I saw the video to this with Chevy Chase and it just connects. It's one of the albums that comes out at my parent's house after a few drinks.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Beady Eye - The Roller
The tsunami benefit gig in Brixton. A birthday present from my brother, great boys day out. Graham Coxon, Paul Weller, The Coral, Kelly Jones, Primal Scream.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Dexys Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen
This is the song that gets my brigade motivated. No matter how tough the day has been this comes on and we have a great time.
A new song you're listening to?
The Jaded Hearts Club - Reach Out I'll Be There
This supergroup has covered and relaunched songs that has taken me down the northern soul wormhole it's brilliant and Nick Chester vocals on this are brilliant. Along with Miles Kane, it's a massive who's who of great musicians.
Best song to turn up loud?
Wings - Band On The Run - Remastered 2010
Once again it's something that comes from dad. The whole song is brilliant.
A song that defines the teenage you?
Oasis - Live Forever - Remastered
The band that I still love to this day. So many memories of listening to this song.
An anthemic song?
Courteeners - The 17th
Great live song and it gets better each time I hear it, the Courteeners are so underrated it should be an offence.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Smiths - Panic - 2011 Remaster
This would always be the last track of the night before we would go home. Walking out of the bar singing hang the DJ.
