Describe your style in three words?
Vintage, practical, dark.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Rolling Stones, Croke Park. This was this year in May. They are just unbelievable. I've never been to see a "big" act like that before but it was one of the best gigs I've been to. The songs were amazing and played perfectly still with a lot of love after god knows how many times.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Prince and Bowie, so I could pick their brains on any subject but more than likely stare at them awkwardly for an hour, too star struck to speak.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
I'm working class and Irish. I think that's a big enough influence really, although it may not be considered a subculture, I think a lot of other influences get filtered through that scope. There's a real rebellious spirit that flows through Derry. It's in the blood here. I've also always been attracted to classic America. It's so juxtaposed, on one hand, it was painted as this perfect time but in reality, it was completely the opposite with the Cold War, JFK etc.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Marcus Aurelius. For the time he was living in and his responsibilities, he seemed like a pretty chilled out guy.

Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Omeara in London. It's one of the most beautiful venues I've ever played in. It feels like you've just discovered some hidden Victorian concert hall. The walls are cracked and discoloured in the most romantic kind of way.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Robert Searight II - He drums in Snarky Puppy. Just unbelievably talented.
