Best Gig you have ever been to?
David Bowie - in Italy, when we supported him at a big football stadium. The Ramones - at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester. And my first Buzzcocks Gig. All just up there!
Shaun Ryder was a huge figure in the Madchester scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s, fronting Happy Mondays who attained a near legendary status before parting in 1993. Shaun Ryder later formed Black Grape scoring a Platinum selling album with 'It's 'Great When You're Straight...Yeah' before their split in 1998. In recent years, amongst many other projects, he has worked with Gorillaz, providing the guest vocals on their 2005 track 'Dare', and taken part in reunions with both Happy Mondays and Black Grape.
