Name, where are you from?
I’m Eva Moolchan, from Silver Spring, Maryland.

Describe your style in three words?
Fast, excellent & Brilliant.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Probably seeing Goat Girl at the Thekla in Bristol.
It’s a boat on the harbour with amazing sound and lighting. We were on tour together and it was amazing. They are phenomenally good live.

Which Subcultures have influenced you?
What is subculture? I think pink, hip-hop, the electro scene... to name a few. Hehe.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Michael Jackson.

Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
In Norwich, we played a venue that Nirvana played back in the day. Norwich Art Centre it’s called.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Jennifer Herrema and Nina Simone.

Sneaks will release her new album 'Highway Hypnosis' on 25th January 2019. pre-order it at smarturl.it/HighwayHypnosis.

04Playlist Notes

The first track you played on repeat?
'Yellow' by Mavi Phoenix & 'DJ Turn It Up' by Yellow Claw - from the Riverdale Soundtrack Season 1. Damn season 2 of Riverdale got too intense and I had to stop watching it. There was a serial killer who f*cked with the protagonist it was f*cked up.

A song that defines the teenage you?
'Take Me Away' by Christina Vidal from the film Freaky Friday.

One record you would keep forever?
'Highway Hypnosis' by Sneaks.

A song lyric that has inspired you?
'23' by Mike WiLL Made-It ft. Miley Cyrus - for my song 'Red' from 'Gymnastics' my first album.

A song you wished you had written?
'Dani California' by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Best song to turn up loud?
Probably the song I mentioned earlier literally called 'DJ Turn It Up' bt Yellow Claw.

A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
I like a lot of car commercial music too. It’s super inspiring. I think cars have a positive symbol for me.

The song to get you straight on the dance floor?
'La Macarena' by Los Del Rio.

Best song to end an all-nighter?
'Die Dimension' by Perel.

Any new bands you are into at the moment?
Check out my new album 'Highway Hypnosis' out January 25th on Merge Records.
