Meet Armand Mirpour, Sweden's new pop sensation.

Originally from Teheran, Iran, Armand Mirpour came to Sweden as a refugee with his mother at the age of two. Now twenty years later, Armand's songs about finding your place, your love and your sound in a foreign land have hit home in the speakers of thousands of people around the globe.

Classically trained in the performing arts and with three years at the Royal Swedish Balett School under his belt, Armand Mirpour has made a name for himself on the Swedish music map in a very short amount of time. A handfull of poems set to music, uploaded to the internet for free download just over a year ago, lead to Armand garnering a spot as in-house songwriter at renowned Lateral MGMT & Publishing (representing producers and writers for Britney Spears, Robyn and Madonna as well as managing Taio Cruz and Paloma Faith) and signing a multi-record deal with Warner Music. Since then Armand has been running victory laps around Sweden, playing the biggest festivals and packed clubs for rave reviews.

The debut EP "I AM A VOLCANO" released last summer made way for three singles. Among them the breakthrough single "Curly Boys Law" that was featured on UK based Record Of The Day, and the hit single "I Am A Volcano" that went on fiery rotation on nationwide radio. Joining the singles are three videos, penned by Armand himself, all running hot on MTV, and two remix tapes with works by some of Swedens most celebrated electro groups, banging on clubs around Stockholm.

With live appearances on both TV and radio and widespread word to mouth buzz over his electric live shows, Armand Mirpour has been dubbed "the next big thing in Swedish pop" by some of the hottest magazines and blogs in Sweden.

The latest hit single "Lucky Lady Hotshot" from the coming debutalbum "Boy Will Sing For Directions Home" was just released on Spotify and iTunes, and is already rotating fiercely on radio. Armand is currently putting the finishing touches on the album, and is hoping for a release early next year followed by a tour around Scandinavia.
