'David Bowie is', the film documenting the record-breaking exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, in 2013, is to be re-released in selected cinemas and venues across the UK on 14 July (2016).
Filmed on the closing night of the exhibition in 2013, this cinema re-release offers another opportunity to experience this acclaimed record of the extraordinary career of modern icon, David Bowie. The documentary was directed by Hamish Hamilton, the BAFTA winning director of the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The film includes contributions from Japanese fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto, Jarvis Cocker, and other notable personalities as well as exhibition curators Victoria Broackes and Geoffrey Marsh.

Following its hugely successful run in London, The David Bowie is exhibition is on a global tour that has already travelled to Toronto, São Paulo, Berlin, Chicago, Paris, Melbourne and Groningen in The Netherlands. The exhibition brings together more than 300 objects including handwritten lyrics, original costumes, photography, set designs, album artwork and rare performance material.
