K: Kai, North London.
L: Louis, South London.
T: Tom, South London.
S: Sean, Totnes.
Describe your style in three words?
S: Live, laugh, love.
K: Stylish in 2011.
L: Lots of pockets.
T: strong jumper game.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
S: Paranoid London at Mick’s Garage last year, celebrating mine and a mate’s 22nd birthdays. I peaked here. Apparently, when Louis arrived I screamed to him “this is your hoooooouuuseeee”.
T: Stevie Wonder, Stevie Wonder.
K: Ms Lauryn Hill. Crazy.
If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
S: I’m bad with old music. Maybe Jenny Hval and Tim Hecker, or something. I love when events programming is structured according to atmosphere/feel/specific brands of escapism, rather than genre.
K: The Specials - I grew up listening to my mum playing their music and it stuck with me. It’s impossible not to dance when songs like 'Nite Klub' come on. Fela Kuti - I shouldn’t have to explain why…
L: Japan, Majical Cloudz.
T: The Jam, The Prodigy.
Which subcultures have influenced you?
S: That weird rural cocktail of skate and rave culture you only find in places where there’s nothing to do.
K: Growing up in London you get influenced by pretty much everything so I’m gonna say everything.
L: American DIY punk from the '80s and '90s. Is there anything more inspiring than watching a group of people take matters into their own hands and doing everything themselves? It’s easy to see its influence on the way people produce music today- pure passion for what you do
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
T: David Attenborough.
S: David Attenborough sounds good.
Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
S: Got to be The Windmill. We figured out what band we want to be in realtime on that stage. It took months, so cheers to Tim for putting up with it.
K: THE WINDMILL! It’s like a second home. They always support bands that are coming up.
L&T: The Windmill, we worked there- best jobs ever...sort of.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
S: Laurie Spiegel.
K: D.H Peligro-Sick drummer.
L: Chris Cohen.
T: Elliott Smith.

L: 'Bang Out' by Pa Salieu. 'Deep Fake' by Deep Tan.
S: Mad for Lyra Pramuk’s and Loraine James’ new records. Rian Treanor’s new album is a send. Glad to see ZULI releasing music again. I think Blue Bendy and Modern Woman are my favourite new London bands at the moment.
K: 'More Life' by KAM. 'Aura Type Orange' by Brother May. 'Stress' by N8NOFACE.
