Name?
M O S E S

Where are you from?
From all over the world, formed and based in London.

What do you do?
We give you music.

Describe your style in three words?
Just let loose.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
An Iggy Pop gig - still have his smashed water bottle.
Oh, and the SLAVES gig at 2000 Trees this summer. That mosh pit - wow!

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
The Clash and Oasis.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Mostly, our neighbours :) and punk.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Tough choice. Let’s get Orwell in the room for half an hour and Cleopatra for the other half.

Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Reading and Leeds was amazing, so we’re gonna go with the BBC Introducing stage this year. It’s not really a venue, but we really wanted to brag about it.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Mick Jones from The Clash. When you say The Clash, 90% of the people think about Joe Strummer, but for us, the hero is Mick Jones; fantastic writer and amazing person! Would be really cool to meet him one day!

04Playlist Notes

The first track you played on repeat?
‘Fell In Love With A Girl’ by The White Stripes.

A song that defines the teenage you?
‘Live Forever’ by Oasis.

One record you would keep forever?
‘London Calling’ by The Clash.

A song lyric that has inspired you?
"In my life,
Why do I give valuable time,

To people who don’t care,
If I live or die."

‘Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now’ by The Smiths.

A song you wished you had written?
‘Spanish Sahara’ by Foals.

Best song to turn up loud?
‘Sabotage’ by Beastie Boys.

A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
‘Halo’ by Beyonce.

Any new bands you are listening to now?
Slaves, The Blinders, Black Honey, 485c but we can’t stop here, so we’re gonna go with two extra very special bands - Carnivals and Cavalcade.
