03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Veni, vidi, vici.

The first track you played on repeat?

Jimi Hendrix - Burning of the Midnight Lamp

I became a huge fan of Jimi the first time I listened to him. Lyrics are tragic, but the music is bright and colourful. I keep repeating it all day, listening to it in the subway, at home, before rehearsals and after. This song truly became a part of my life and it still is.

A song from your favorite album?

Weather Report - Birdland

This album is one of the best albums, it has like no genre and many people can listen and like this one.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Pozitiva Funk Orchestra - Буги-вуги любовь

Me and my band played at a pretty famous underground place at Moscow called 'Kitaiskiy letchik Jao Da' (Chinese pilot Jao Da). Just an advertisement for my band, maybe you'll like it.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Kool & The Gang - Hollywood Swinging

C'mon, everybody wanna dance with that.

A new song you're listening to?

Husky - Ай

Husky, in my opinion, one of the best today's artist in the Russian scene. His lyrics are truly about modern "Russian spirit".

Best song to turn up loud?

The Clash - Should I Stay or Should I Go - Remastered

This one is pretty good to listen in the car on a cassette player. Other people will love it too.

A song that defines the teenage you?

Sergei Prokofiev - Piano Concerto No. 1 in D-Flat Major, Op. 10: I. Allegro brioso

This concert takes me back to 15 years when I first heard it.

An anthemic song?

Desmond Child - Last Of An Ancient Breed - From "The Warriors" Soundtrack

All this film's music is pretty anthemic, but this one is the most.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Massive Attack - Inertia Creeps

This will guide you home, but I'm not sure.
