Describe your style in three words?
90s boyband scally
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
2 Unlimited - No Limit
Apparently, when I was about 2 I made my parents play this song on repeat because I loved jumping around to it. Also, it's the first vinyl I ever owned after the DJ at their wedding gave it to me when I was the same age after I requested him playing it.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Real Lies - North Circular
Real Life's album for me captures points in my life. Tracks are moments in my youth, small ones just chilling mates, to massive one like feeling you will never leave that small town you went to high school in. This track sums up when not being a teenager anymore felt confusing.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence
Isle of Wight festival, 2018. I cried my eyes out to Depeche Mode's encore. I was quite close up and it was well into the night after a great day. The realisation of being on this small island only knowing one other person and watching this amazing performance just hit me hard.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Spice Girls - Who Do You Think You Are
I think everyone is a slight Spice Girls fan. Like them or not, you can't deny that what they achieved on a global scale was incredible and I don't think any girl band will ever do that again. They are true ambassadors for the UK and their songs bring people together.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Foals - Sunday - Alex Metric Remix
Love this remix by Alex Metric. He's managed to make a Foals track into something very 'Underworld', but still sound new.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
Everything But The Girl - Missing - Todd Terry Remix / Radio Edit
Putting this on loud in my room gets me into such a trance. One of my all-time favourite chilled dance tracks.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Ultrabeat - Pretty Green Eyes - Radio Edit
This tune takes me back to driving around in my mate's car after offering to keep them company during their food delivery shift. Proper scally listening to happy hardcore tracks and then when finished go back to your mate's house to get drunk. Simple times that I miss deeply.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
Delerium - Silence (feat. Sarah McLachlan) - DJ Tiësto's In Search of Sunrise Edit
This Tiësto remix of Delerium's classic tune is just pure euphoria. With Sarah McLachlan's powerful vocals merged with the epic drops throughout, it's the reason why I love trance music more than anything.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Streets - Fit but You Know It
Jump around the living room with mates, shouting every lyric to this until you realise it's 8am the next day and you have shamefully wasted your whole weekend by turning two days into one because you have to sleep all through Sunday now.....but you will defo be doing it again.
