Name, where are you from?
The Rebecca Riots - Anglesey, North Wales.

Describe your style in three words?
Passionate, Energetic, Dirty

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
(Luke) My personal favourite was watching The 1975 - If I believe you - at Manchester O2 Apollo, I was right at the front and through the whole gig the crowd were pushing from the back so we could barely breathe, then for that song everyone was just so silent because it was that intense. I’ve always said that when you’ve properly captured a crowd its when you can hear a pin drop in the room.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Catfish & The Bottlemen and the Arctic Monkeys.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Football Casuals and Mods!

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Nelson Mandela, because he brought people together and we kinda hope to do the same with our music.

Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
We recently played Studio 2, Liverpool, and that was just a really smart place in general and we had a good crowd so that’s probably the best so far!

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
We’d probably go with Catfish & The Bottlemen, if you could call them unsung? But because we come from so near where they do, they just inspire us to keep working at it everyday and get out there and gig.

04Playlist Notes

The first track you played on repeat?
haha! 'Year 3000' by Busted.

A song that defines the teenage you?
'Under The Bridge' by Red Hot Chilli Peppers

One record you would keep forever?
'The Balcony' by Catfish & The Bottlemen.

A song lyric that has inspired you?
“A stranger to my skin,
but now I’m braver in my bones.”

'Little Light' by Lewis Watson.

A song you wished you had written?
'Supremacy' or 'Supermassive Black Hole' by Muse,

Best song to turn up loud?
'Take Me Out' by Franz Ferdinand.

A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Sign Of The Times' by Harry Styles.

Best song to end an all-nighter on?
'Kashmir' by Led Zeppelin.

Any new bands you are listening to right now?
The Night Cafe, Pretty Vicious, JAWS, Saint Raymond, Lewis Watson, High Tyde, Hippo Campus, Sundara Karma, Blossoms.
