Describe your style in three words?
Grown '90s baby.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Foals at Reading 2016. I was nineteen and way too grown for Reading or Leeds fest but was there for work (at a burrito stall). When I finished work I grabbed a beer and just went for an evening walk and just subconsciously followed the crowd to the main stage where Foals were playing and I hadn’t listened to them since I was in school, I used to be a big fan back in 2008. They were incredible to see live and it was a complete accident. A lovely after-work stroll.

If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
Herbie Hancock, because I’d love to see him live and get to meet him behind stage and show him my music. But also, we both practice the same Buddhism where we chant as part of our prayers. I’d love to chant with him. The sounds would be amazing! This would be a good day. Kendrick Lamar… don’t feel like an explanation is needed. I’m a fan.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Grime and alternative indie. In the early '00s leading towards 2010, these were the most prominent subcultures around me and the ones that I connected with for different reasons. I loved them both musically and stylistically and also it was cool at the time of my developing years and has had a huge influence on my style and music taste now.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
I really wanna spend an hour with Kanye. I think we’d get on really well. Would be quite a memorable experience I’m sure.

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
I love the Roundhouse. The fact that it’s round and everyone can enjoy the show no matter where you are in the venue is amazing.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Ayeisha Raquel. She just deserves everything great that’s gonna come her way. And she’s probably one of the best singers and songwriters in the UK.
