Rat Boy

New big beat influenced single 'Move'

Friday 12th February 2016

One of the most interesting and individual British artists to be included in the BBC Sound of 2016 longlist, as well as MTV's Brand New for 2016 shortlist, Rat Boy, (AKA 19 year old, Essex born, Jordan Cardy), will follow up his early with what is possibly his biggest tune to date. His next single 'MOVE' sees Jordan urge his listeners to help themselves to his big beat - British Beastie Boy rap, with the call to action: “Everything’s free if you want it to be / Take my MP3 illegally and MOVE!”

NME described Rat Boy perfectly as "A potent mix of Blur’s cockney knees-up side, the urgency of The Libertines and Beastie Boys’ in-yer-face raps.”  The new single is just that! Watch the animated video below, made by innovative Academy Award nominated animator Dillon Markey.

Following his gigs with the NME Awards Tour, Rat Boy will also embark on his biggest headline tour to date in April 2016, taking in Reading and Leeds later in the Summer. See dates below:
