Los Campesinos!

On offer as a free download, ‘By Your Hand’ from the new album ‘Hello Sadness’ marks Los Campesinos! as a band who have progressed and grown as an act since their first formation in Cardiff early 2006.

‘By Your Hand’ shows Los Camp adopting a more organic and refined style, doing away with their more rock sound of years past resulting in a contemporary folk feel, a la Noah and the Whale, for their new material.

On this new musical direction Gareth Campesinos! says "…since finishing university, and in that time we’ve all changed as people massively. That’s something we want to put across in the music."

However, it would be unfair to say that they have “matured” in reference to their new sound. As a band there was simply nothing “immature” about early material. Songs such as ‘You! Me! Dancing!’ or ‘We Throw Parties, You Throw Knives’ and their jangly pop infested infectious content had the depth of talented musicianship and calculative song writing. Such that has been unmatched by any other act that has hailed from Cardiff since.

Los Campesinos! will be commencing a UK and US Tour in November, and 'By Your Hand' is the opening track of their second album ‘Hello Sadness’ released 14th November on Wichita.
