Hotly tipped Sheffield band, The Hosts, have unveiled a delightful glimpse of what is to be expected from their debut later this year, with the Richard Hawley produced single, "September Song". As well as its A-list production credit, the song has a charming back story, written on the 50th anniversary of the death of Buddy Holly about the transporting capabilities of a good melody.
As you'd expect with Hawley overseeing proceedings - there is virtually nothing not to like about this track.
The real treat though is the b-side - a perfectly executed cover version of Roy Orbison's "In Dreams" - listen below:
"September Song" will be released Worldwide on Monday 8th April. The Hosts' debut album - also with production from Richard Hawley - follows later in 2013.
The Hosts live:
6th April - Sheffield Leadmill
11th April - London Wilmington Arms
12th April - Manchester Castle
