Don Gaspár. Berlin, Germany.
What do you do?
I call it - Creative Entrepreneur, that’s means I do a lot of Interesting things.
Describe your style in three words?
Loafers, Street, Changeable.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
I’ve been spontaneous on Tour with Serious Klein and even played a warm-up DJ-Set. Epic Moment!
If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
Lenny Kravitz & Kid Cud. They’re my Heroes!
Which subcultures have influenced you?
Cologne, Germany! I grew up in a place far away from the “normal” society where Immigrants from a lot of different countries get to together. And this experience taught me very much.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
It would be Fred Hampton! This young man was a living Legend, he fought for freedom, respect, and unity. He still inspires me...
Of all the independent venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
I had a Dj-Gig in Barcelona! “Voodoclub” – It was FIRE!! All colours, all genders and all sexualities were together and danced to my set.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
2pac.
The first track you played on repeat?
I think... I’m not sure but I think it was 'Ms Jackson' by Outkast.
A song that defines the teenage you?
'Rose Golden' by Kid Cudi.
One record you would keep forever?
'Just As I Am' by Bill Withers.
A song lyric that has inspired you?
"Oh, since I was young, been groovin' to my own drum,
Ain’t that many teachers, show me my potential,
Felt Like a failure, momma said you know better.”
From 'Rose Golden' by Kid Cudi.
A song you wished you had written?
'Brenda’s Got A Baby' by 2pac.
Best song to turn up loud?
'Wild Youngster' by NEZ.
A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
They expect everything haha.
The song that would get you straight on the dance floor?
Every song from Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and Papa Wemba.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
