Creative Director — Malaysia

What music defines the teenage you?
'Ice Ice Baby' by Vanilla Ice. I had the same hairstyle and doing dance like him in clubs and performing at school functions. I didn’t know why.

A song from your favourite album?
'Human Behaviour' by Björk was one that blew my mind away, her existence changed the whole music industry. The sound was so new, her visuals and styles are still iconic even today.

Best song to turn up loud?
'Blue Monday' by New Order. This track just gets people’s shoulder moving.

What new music are you listening to?
The thing is I have been listening to a lot of older music which I have not heard of. On and off I do come across some interesting new music like Starcrawler, Jorja Smith, Suuns, Syd are all my current favourites.

What are you working on at the moment?
As I am answering this, I am not working. I am sipping my masala tea and having my naan high up in the Himalaya as I am typing this. When I return, I will just have more commercials to shoot!

'X-ALT' by Suuns.
I like their sound a lot as the latest album definitely offering more experiential sound than the previous album.

'The Blue' by White Room.
I like the retro sound to this band, it is like a new psychedelic sound but in today’s version.

'I Love LA' by Starcrawler.
This song just makes me wanna dance.

'On Your Own' by Jorja Smith.
Her recent lost & found is just hauntingly beautiful.)

'Echo' by Black Rebel Motorcycle club.
I love this band, everything about them.

'Berlin Wall' by Hotel Lux.
I like brit rock a lot, England has always been charming especially with their own sense of style whether is in music or fashion. This song probably reminds me of London.

'Black Jack' by Amine.
Short but a nice track from Amine’s latest album, drop that beat drop that beat.

'Big Wind Blows' by No Party for Cao Dong.
Finally some Asian represent, watched this band from Taiwan recently and really impressed by their sound. And nice lyrics too.

'Show Me How' by Men I Trust.
A soothing chilling track, that kind of music best help you get through your working day.

'Life Is Golden' by Suede.
Favourite band’s new track, love it.

'Graduation' by Hyukoh.
New EP, keeping that Hyukoh sound alive.

'Black' by Buddy.
Been listening to Buddy a lot, really like how all these new rap artists offering a different style of rap.
