The Rolling Stones - Miss You - Remastered

The Stones are 'my band' - I absolute love them! It's too difficult for me to choose an overall favourite, this particular track has always stayed with me. That intro, the lyrics, the tune, all the 'ooohs', - Just everything! It's incredible.

A song from your most memorable gig?

The Stooges - I Wanna Be Your Dog - Remastered

Iggy Pop played the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow, in 2002 (?) It was the first time I'd seen him live & I was buzzin'! The crowd were wild, Iggy Pop was on form & the energy in the place was like something I'd never experienced before.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Bobby Marchan - Get Down With It

This song is less than 3 minutes long so it's like a short, sharp burst of pure enjoyment. It's got a great tempo for dancing with just the right amount of soul. It's so easy to get into this record plus, there's finger clicks and hand claps - I love those.

Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine?

This is a difficult one for me because honestly, I don't listen to new music but 2013 feels relatively new, right? AM : is the last "big" album that I got excited about before the release date and it didn't disappoint. I still listen to it all the time.

Best song to turn up loud? And why?

The Charlatans - One To Another (remastered)

I usually listen to this on my journey into work; headphones on, volume up! It's got one of the best intros I've ever heard & it never fails to make me happy. I'm a 90's indie kid at heart and this record catapults right back to 1997 - good times & fond memories.

Sleeper - Sale of the Century

Britpop was in full swing & I was right in about it. There was hunners of gigs to get excited about plus - suede Adidas Gazelles, Fred Perry shirts, bucket hats, parkas, scooters, trips to the seaside, camping at festivals... Having a laugh with my pals & getting up to no good.

The Kinks - Till the End of the Day - Mono Version

A Kinks record always fills the dance floor and this one is a true 60's classic. It's such a feel-good, uplifting tune with upbeat lyrics that everyone can relate to.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Marvin Gaye - Ain't No Mountain High Enough

This records never fails to get folk up dancing & it brings everybody together. Everyone is singing along, singing to each other & giving it laldy! It's pure happiness. No song sounds better at 2:57am and when it's done, the lights go up and we all go home.
