03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Retro, romantic, flares.

The first track you played on repeat?

Alvvays - Adult Diversion

'Adult Diversion' by Alvvays. I picked this album up in the discounted section of a supermarket after school one day and it's probably the most influential record for my sound.

A song from your favorite album?

Marika Hackman - Ophelia

One of those records I can't just play one song from.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Angel Olsen - Endgame

I saw Angel in Bristol back in Spring 2020, it was so beautifully curated. I really hold that night close to my heart.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Harry Belafonte - Jump in the Line

'Jump in the Line' by Harry Belafonte gets me up every time.

A new song you're listening to?

Father John Misty - Funny Girl

The music video, directed by Nicholas Ashe Bateman, is fantastic too.

Best song to turn up loud?

Elton John - Crocodile Rock

Get all of your friends in a room and dance on any surface available.

A song that defines the teenage you?

Wolf Alice - Giant Peach

Every train ride to school was spent daydreaming outside of the window, imagining I was in this band.

An anthemic song?

Pile - Hiding Places

'Hiding Places' by Pile hits the spot.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

LCD Soundsystem - All My Friends

Just to really soak up the gratitude for the night you've had with the best company.
